At this week’s rehearsal, we were happy to welcome a newly donated Yamaha keyboard and stand into the choir that came from a nice couple in Medford. Rehearsal began with body and vocal warmups, partner songs, and then learning a new song: Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind.” The lyrics spoke to our hearts in these uncertain times and we are pleased to add it to our repertoire.
Mary Joy and I announced that next rehearsal will be our first ever Manna Singers pop-up performance on the steps of the Cathedral. A flutter came over the room: Are we ready? What will it feel like to perform outside the walls of Lower Sproat Hall? Only time will tell. And we hope, dear reader, that you will be able to join us – Tuesday, October 24th at 1:00pm.
